How many balls should I use per load?
We recommend 3–4 balls for medium loads. For larger loads or bulky items like towels and bedding, using 5–6 balls will maximize airflow and drying efficiency.
Will they make my laundry smell like sheep?
No. Our wool is triple-washed and high-grade, leaving no animal scent behind. If you prefer a fragrance, simply add a few drops of essential oil to each ball.
How do they reduce static?
Static is caused by over-drying. Since the balls cut drying time, they help prevent the friction that builds static. Tip: Don’t over-dry your loads for the best anti-static results!
Are they loud in the dryer?
They are much quieter than plastic dryer balls. While you may hear a gentle “thump” as they work to separate heavy items, it is a soft, muffled sound.
How long do they actually last?
With regular use, a set will last for over 1,000 loads, which is about 2–3 years of laundry for the average household.
Can I use them with baby clothes?
Absolutely. They are the best choice for babies and those with eczema because they contain no perfumes or chemical softening agents that irritate the skin.
Do they shed or leave lint on dark clothes?
Our wool is tightly felted to prevent shedding. They will not leave lint on your clothes, even on dark or black fabrics.
When should I replace them?
You’ll know it’s time when they begin to look “shaggy” or lose their firmness. Even then, they make great pet toys or can be safely composted.
How do I add essential oils safely?
Add 2-3 drops to each ball and let them soak in for a few minutes before tossing them in. This prevents the oil from transferring directly onto your clothes.
