How are these shampoo bars considered natural? I can barely pronounce the ingredients.
Great question. We believe in “Intelligent Nature,” which means using ingredients that are derived from plants but scientifically formulated to be safe for your hair. The “complex” names you see, like Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI), are simply the scientific names for gentle cleansers derived from Coconuts. We use these instead of raw saponified oils (traditional soap) because raw soap has a very high alkaline pH (10+) that damages the hair cuticle and causes waxy buildup. By using coconut-derived surfactants, we can create a bar that is pH-balanced (5.5) to match your scalp, ensuring your hair stays healthy, shiny, and clean—without the plastic bottle.
Will this lather like regular shampoo?
Absolutely. We use Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI), nicknamed “baby foam,” which creates a incredibly rich, dense, and luxurious lather—often better than liquid shampoos.
Is there a “transition period” for my hair?
Unlike “natural” soap bars (which are high pH and cause waxy buildup), our bars are pH-balanced syndets. Most users experience no transition period at all, just immediately clean, soft hair.
How long does a bar last?
A single bar typically lasts up to 75 washes (equivalent to 3 bottles of liquid shampoo). They last this long because we don’t add water—the bar is 100% concentrated active ingredients, so a little goes a very long way.
How do I store the bar so it lasts?
This is critical! Because the bars are concentrated, they must dry out between uses. Store them away from direct shower spray on a soap dish with excellent drainage. Never leave it sitting in a puddle.
Is this safe for color-treated hair?
Yes. Our formula is sulfate-free and pH-balanced, making it gentle enough to use on colored or chemically treated hair without stripping the vibrancy.
Why is it so small compared to a bottle?
It’s all about concentration. A standard bottle of shampoo is mostly water. We removed the water, leaving only the active cleaning and conditioning ingredients. One 5oz bar is roughly equivalent to three 8oz bottles of liquid shampoo.

I don’t think I had let my hair air dry in at least 10 years. My hair would always turn into a big frizzy mess, so I never went anywhere without straightening it first.

My first thought when I woke up was, “Great… now I have to wake up early and straighten my hair.” But when I looked in the mirror, I was shocked—there was almost no frizz at all, and my natural curls were really defined. That hasn’t happened in over a decade.
At first I didn’t think too much of it. I figured I’d just throw it up in a ponytail and move on. But the second time I used them, the same thing happened. That’s when I realized it wasn’t in my head!
I haven’t blow-dried or straightened my hair in two weeks now. I don’t spend a lot of time on my hair in the mornings anyway, but being able to just brush it or throw it up without having to straighten it first has saved me so much time.
